Croquet in the Park - 26th August to 3rd September

Welcome to our first annual festival of Croquet in Calverley Grounds - its aims are to

• showcase Croquet in the centre of Tunbridge Wells and to
• allow ANYONE to participate in a fun and social event for the 400th anniversary of Royal Tunbridge Wells.

The event is part of Royal Tunbridge Wells 400 and supported by a grant from Tunbridge Wells Borough Council.

On Bank Holiday Monday (28th August) there will be a special Open Day; with a series of shorter events, including demonstrations and coaching sessions (free of charge) to the public.

The main event of the week will be for novice players, for those who have just played it in their back-gardens or not picked up a mallet - our Corporate Challenge. This will take place in the evenings during the Croquet in the Park week, from Tuesday 29th August to Friday 1st September.

Experienced players are welcome to our one-day Golf Croquet event on Sunday 27th August and our two-day Advanced Association Croquet event on Saturday/Sunday 2nd/3rd September.

A beginners-level Association Croquet one day event will take place on Saturday 26th August.

At other times during the week there will be a programme of inter-club matches.
